What is pml?
A PML extension is used for multiple document files. For instance Portable Application Description (PAD) generates PML files which help authors to provide descriptions and specifications to online destinations in a standard format. An other use of PML files is as Palm Markup Language, which is similar to HTML, and is basically a plain text file that is used to create a web page.
What is xpm?
The XPM file type is a bitmap image used by the X Windows System and was created in 1989 by Colas Nahaboo and Daniel Dardailler working at Bull Research center to extend the XBM file. Later it was enhanced by Arnoud Le Hors. It mainly used for creating icon pixmaps that support transparency and grey-scaling.
