The SWF (pronounced “Swiff”) file format is a Shockwave Flash Movie used by Adobe Flash. It is used to show text, (vector) graphics, sound, browser-based games or interactive content ( written in the ActionScript language ) on the web. To be able to view this file on the web the user will need a web browser that has the Flash plugin installed. The SWF isn’t meant for editing only for playing or viewing because its the compiled version of the media. If you want to edit the content then edit the original .FLA instead.

Mime-type: application/x-shockwave-flash
