The MPEG-4 Part 14, or simply MP4, file extension is used for video files that are associated with the MPEG-4 format. It is used for the storage of audio and video storage but can also used to store subtitle data. It is related to the M4A (audio only) and M4P file formats and can be opened by most multimedia players on all platforms.
