The FPX extension, short for FlashPix, is a bitmap file developed by Kodak along with its partners like Microsoft, Hewlett-Packerd and Live Picture. It is a bitmap image format that has been optimized for the use within digital photography and can be opened by the applications that are included with the digital cameras of Kodak.
