What is dif?

The DIF file format, short for Data Interchange Format, is used to export or import single spreadsheets between spreadsheet software such as Excel, OpenOffice and Gnumeric. The limitation of a DIF file is that it cannot handle multiple spreadsheets in a single workbook.
