The DS2 format is an Olympus DSS Pro Audio File that is based on the Digital Speech Standard Pro format, which is a highly compressed audio format from the developers at Olympus. It is often used for the recording of human speech like notes from lawyers, physicians and researchers. Using the DSS Player Pro software, the DS2 files can easily be converted to standard WAV formats.
