What is aac?

AAC, Advanced Audio Coding , is a standardized compression and encoding scheme for digital audio. The AAC is primarily associated with ‘MPEG-2 Advanced Audio Coding File’ and has been promoted to be the successor of the popular MP3 format (created by Fraunhofer IIS). The AAC is mostly used as the default audio format of iPhones, iPods, iTunes and the formats in the iTunes Store, which are owned by Apple.

What is oga?

An OGA file extension is used for Audio Profile files and is often associated with Ogg Vorbis by Xiph.Org Foundation. OGG is an open source format for containers that contain standardized bitstreams, designed for streaming amongst others. An OGA file can multiplex seperate independent codecs for audio, video and text, but often carries the FLAC or Vorbix codec.
